.01 MicroWorld s/t
PC15
CDR
$6.00

This full length ambient recording takes up from where the 2 Microworld tracks from the  v/a Kollection CDR compilation left off. No new ground is broken here, just airy ambient landscapes arise like those from early labels such as Instinct and FAX. The point of these tracks is to provide a relaxing environment of sound and music for people to enjoy. There is no ultimate goal trying to be met here, nor a specific musical statement being presented–just simple ambient music for the subconscious. If while listening to tracks such as the opener "X-pand" you feel your eyelids getting heavy then thats ok. Let your mind wander and create images if thats where your mind leads you. The track "Trans" will provide some help with its isolating and floating low bell sounds and sad pads weaving in and out. Its as if you are on an icy moon of Jupiter and want to stay forever.

.02 1/3 Hand Services  s/t
PC10

Its as if John Carpenter played the Tron movie score backwards through a digital processor that had all its circuits possesed . This 6 track long-player is straight from a digital chaotic world of unknown, unfamiliar sounds. With tracks like "At Most Fear" and "Markwithin" you will soon realize your on a journey of sound and texture that will slowly guide your mind into a wide realm of emotions. This release is a ready-made soundtrack/backdrop to any imagery your mind can conjure up. This would be what aliens would listen to as they themselves ponder other life forms in the universe.(This music is Not recommended while driving, operating large machinery, or working in a iron ore plant)

.03 Valence
Music For TransNeptunian Space
PC09
CDR
$5.00

Although containing only 5 tracks, MFTS clocks in at over 35+ minutes. It is also the first ambient release yet from Pitchcadet where there is no drum programming or percussion samples on the album. Laid back cinematic music overflowing with gorgeous strings, big pads and simple, yet beautiful melodies. Together with strange, unsettling sound effects floating in the background it makes for a captivating listen. It is obvious that Valence have a deep love of soundtrack music. On the albums highlight 'This Eccentric Orbit' you will find heart melting strings that recalls the sound of Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti. Elsewhere the sinister and disturbing 'Transientwo' recalls the sound of film director / soundtrack composer John Carpenter. This album is an absolutely gorgeous listening experience. A definite for anyone with any interest in ambient or electronic music.

.04 M-Tec
Data-Life
PC03/1
CDR
$6.00

M-tec pushes fresh analog chords and patches that fit perfectly into a category of it's own. The track "sky-haze" is reminiscent of the persistence of gimmik's programming that meets the relentless work of gridlock's dynamics. Undeniable sly slippery rhythms encompassed by iridescent harmonies that fill the body and mind with contentment. The track "ryth" characterizes, if not defines some of the directions gridlock has chosen in the past few years; with luminescent string melodies that are entangled with shifting irresistible beats and tempo structures. Track six, "Tank-knaT" shows a slightly darker direction that brings to mind some of datathief's dark electro/idm edge meets bola. A complex menagerie of sliding, erratic percussion work and light glittering harmonies that descend to warm dark chords that entice the soul. another very strong and timeless track. Data-life cobbles together two EPs of material recorded few years back. Listening to these nine tracks of crisp IDM/electronica, it's quite evident that he is a fan of Autechre, Boards of Canada, and other masters of the genre. But that's merely a frame of reference as Tweedy manages to fuse his own unique ideas onto the familiar sounding backbone of Ae styled skittering beats and the mournful BoC influenced melodies.

.05 V/A Kollection
(unreleased pitchcadet tracks 96-99)
PC08
CDR
$6.00

This mini-9-track-compilation of sorts cover some various pitchcadet works that were written/recorded with no intended release in mind. Even so, these are some very strong , solid tracks not to be confused with sub-par throw-away tracks to fill space on a CDR. Just the opposite, these sound like they should belong on a proper release. Take the opener from SONIC FRACTURE, "Lapse", very smooth hip/hop/ambient influenced track which further rounds out the many sounds and styles pitchcadet covers on its releases. Next is 2 MicroWorld tracks which would fit nicely on the later released self titled full length CDR(also on pitchcadet). Sparse, remote atmospheres and intertwining melodic hypnos soon fill your speakers. Two M-tec tracks appear next right in line with his ‘data-life' and ‘Slip Wish+' releases----reliable M-tec melodies with clinical/machine-like beats to warm the ears. Then there are 2 Valence tracks, one in the more ambient vein the other more beat oriented. Finally an untitled drum&bass style remix track, which was done by a friend–who we can't mention–his label wouldn't like that.

.06 Valence
Ohm
PC01/11
CDR
$5.00

With these 7 tracks the Valence crew go in another direction with the addition of some gritty beats and percussive elements added to the mix. Still keeping some of the eerie soundtrack melody vibe, this release highlights the early pitchcadet days of freeform sound construction. Recorded at the end of 1996/beginning 1997 with a very minimal bare-bones set up(HAD NO SAMPLER YET!),  these tracks were recorded live(from about 10 tracks total) to cassette tape, originally as an experiment. Then lifted from the tape to computer about a year later after the tape had been lost in a box for a while. Realizing the tape was the only existing copy of the 2 week recording sessions, Chris(aka Accelera Deck) and Aaron(aka M-tec) decided to take the best preserved tracks and put them to CDR. The result is a mixture of  what would later become recognizable elements of both M-tec and Accelera Deck releases. Diverse programming, flowing catchy melodies, and unique percussive changes through the 7 tracks of this release provide for a nice retrospective of how pitchcadet started out.
